About SkyToGrid

SkyToGrid is an independent experimental website exploring how weather forecasts can be translated into indicative renewable energy generation estimates.

Our four tools cover cloud conditions, solar PV production, wind production and illustrative hydro scenarios. They are designed for learning, exploration and preliminary analysis, not operational dispatch.

Forecasts are based on weather information from MET Norway and simplified calculation methods. Actual plant output may differ substantially due to equipment, terrain, operational restrictions and forecast uncertainty.
