Understanding hourly cloud cover
Cloud cover is shown as a percentage of sky coverage, with separate low-, middle- and high-altitude layers when the weather provider supplies them. Use the location search or map to select coordinates and a date to view available hourly forecasts.
Cloud layers can overlap, so their percentages should not be added together. Forecast times use the selected time zone. Missing values are displayed as unavailable rather than assumed to be zero. For an indicative solar energy estimate, visit the PV production forecast.
